Training Program Content and Platform Refresh
Overview
The Blue Circle Leadership Transformational Leadership Program is an immersive, highly interactive, cohort-based learning opportunity for Multicultural Women (MCW) and intersectional groups. Participants learn skills and strategies to support the advancement of MCW and to overcome the unique challenges they face in their organizations.
The Transformational Leadership program was created in 2017 and I was tasked with updating the curriculum for the 2022 cohorts. This project required a combination of research, graphic design, and instructional design skills. The final result was a fully updated curriculum with additional quantitative and qualitative resources, a newly designed Intrepid dashboard, an improved learner experience, enhanced reporting capabilities, and additional resource creation.
I used the ADDIE model for this project and I was able to see the project through the evaluation phase.
Solutions

The program curriculum was analyzed and adjustments were made to each of the seven modules to provide the participants with the most valuable content available. Outdated resources were replaced with newer, more relevant resources, and activities were refreshed to reflect the content changes.
The capstone project objectives and project guides were updated per client and participant feedback to make the project a more impactful experience for both the individual contributor and the cohort as a whole.
Presentation materials, PowerPoint decks, facilitator guides, and all current downloadable resources were reviewed and updated for stylistic and content consistency.

The Intrepid LMS platform was updated to better use new product features that improve both the learner and facilitator experience. The leaderboard was implemented to gamify the program and to encourage healthy competition. Reporting capabilities were improved, which helps the clients to better gauge user engagement from their participants. Additional communication tools were instituted to further improve the user experience.
Beyond the functional updates, stylistic updates were made to give the platform a level of polish that was not present before.

Supplemental resources were created to support learning within the cohorts. The two most impactful resource additions are the unit-specific learning guides and the Pass-Off Delegation Strategy tool. The learning guides are to be downloaded prior to the live sessions and used as a workbook for note-taking and continued learning after the sessions. The Pass-Off Delegation Strategy tool is a downloadable resource that can be used for future reference.
